Early Voting

County Clerk Jean Dimke informs voters they may cast a ballot prior to the November 4, 2008 General Election without offering a reason or an excuse for wanting to vote early.

Pursuant to Article 19A of the Illinois Election Code, Early Voting for the General Primary Election for all Jo Daviess County precincts will be conducted at the office of the Jo Daviess County Clerk in the courthouse at 330 N. Bench Street in Galena.

Early voting begins on Tuesday, October 14 and continues through Thursday, October 30 on weekdays from 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. Any voter validly registered in Jo Daviess County may vote during the early voting period after showing proper identification. Any vote cast is final, and may not be revoked, and the voter is not eligible to cast a vote on Election Day.
